Coaching Opportunities for Diocesan Leaders
I know a way to increase your effectiveness as a leader. Interested? Of course you are. Coaching, both being coached and coaching others. From my own experience I can tell you how important it is to have someone outside the normal flow of your life asking powerful clarifying questions. Where do you see the Lord working in you and through you? What are you celebrating? Where are you trying to go? What are the challenges you are facing in getting there? What resources do you need? And on the list goes. Coaches can have an extraordinary impact.
Here are two coaching opportunities.
- The Rev. Canon Mary Hays is available to do coaching for clergy and church leaders. With her experience, wisdom, and gifts of discernment, she can help you move forward personally and lead your congregation forward. Contact her at email@example.com. Canon Mary is also available to consult with congregations.
- Jenni Bartling will be offering "Coaching 101" at Trinity School for Ministry on April 13th and 14th. This is a great introduction to the coaching experience and forms the foundation for future training to be a coach. I highly recommend it. Clergy and lay leaders in this diocese will pay only $65. It is a great investment. Registration is online.
If you are interested in taking your leadership to the next level, coaching is key. Having a coach will help you identify and address issues that are holding you back. Being a coach will motivate you to continue to work hard to be the best leader you can be.
