Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge will be hosting an open house experience on September 15, 2008.

Trinity School for Ministry will be hosting a one-day opportunity to step into the shoes of a seminarian on September 15 at their Ambridge campus. Billed as a chance for people to experience Trinity firsthand, participants will follow a typical seminary schedule, attend classes and meet with representatives of the institution.

Those who are able to attend will begin the day at 8:30 a.m. with community morning prayer in the seminary chapel, followed by an initial class session. Three classes are available to choose from before lunch: Biblical Interpretation with Dr. Erika Moore, Global Anglicanism with the Rev. Dr. Grant LeMarquand and Christian Ethics with Dr. William Witt.

After lunch with students, participants will have the chance meet with the Dean/President of Trinity, the Very Rev. Dr. Justyn Terry, along with the Rev. Tina Lockett, Director of Admissions/Dean of Students, Ms. Leslie Deily, Director of Development, and Chad Lawrence, Student Council President. Following this time for questions and discussion, participants will have the option of attending an afternoon class of their choice.

"This is a great open house opportunity for people to find out what we’re about here at Trinity, whether they’re exploring a call to train for further ministry, or even if they’re just curious about our seminary," said Lockett. "Our goal has always been to be evangelical and obedient to Christ, committed to training lay and ordained ministers for mission while remaining distinctly Anglican," she continued. "This gives people the chance to see what that looks like with their own eyes."

Anyone interested in this free event should contact the admissions office by calling 1-800-874-8754 (724-266-3838 locally), or by email to admissions@tesm.edu. For those who are unable to attend on September 15, another session will be held on October 14.
