Vicar (Sr. Associate Pastor)

First and foremost, St. Stephen’s seeks a follower of Jesus Christ who exhibits a deep and lived gratitude for the grace of God in Christ. The best fit for our needs is a humble but action-oriented leader, capable of experiencing and relaying their faith in and love for Christ in meaningful and tangible ways to their colleagues and our parishioners. We have a great diverse team representing many styles and gifts. For this role, we are seeking to add an outgoing and community-focused pastor who enjoys building relationships not only with those inside the church and on our staff, but also in the community at large around our church. The Vicar we seek brings a thoughtful approach, a bias to action, and a passion and energy to deliver support and solutions not only for spiritual formation and growth, but also in tactical and meaningful ways that strengthen our church’s processes and ways of working, equipping us to accelerate growth and impact. A wise shepherd who leads others with a gracious manner, our next Vicar will be an effective, supportive leader capable of leading a high performing and highly engaged team – caring as much about the people on their team as they do for discipling for Christ. Finally, we aim to find an excellent communicator, demonstrating skill in preaching, teaching, writing, and interpersonal communication.
